Brazilian Serie A betting recommendations for 24/06/12

24 Jun

I’ve written these brief previews while it’s quiet in work. However, since I started it’s no longer quiet so I’ve had to miss two games out! Treat them as a guide if you’re going to bet on Serie A tonight. Take note, though, that one or two of my recommendations will go probably go wrong! After all, a 50-60% success rate is considered to be very, good in the unpredictable world of Brazilian football! Don’t forget that – it’s not as consistent as European football.

Good luck if you follow my recommendations.

JC

Corinthians v Palmeiras:
Both teams played cup games midweek and will likely rest players in this game. Both are low scoring anyway.
Recommendation: Under 2.5 goals

Gremio v Flamengo: The hosts played Copa do Brazil midweek, while Flamengo’s team have the advantage of a few extra day’s rest. Even still, i don’t trust FLA and have noted that they usually score and concede in away games. A poss over 2.5, but I go for BTTS.
Recommendation: BTTS

Atletico Go v Fluminense:
This season, the home team has yet to win a league game, with one goal scored and seven conceded. Flu, I’m told, will miss Fred tonight and don’t fare too well in away games anyway.
Recommendation: Under 2.5 goals.

Botafogo v Ponte Preta:
After Bota’s win at Inter last week, you have to fancy them to beat goal shy Ponte Preta today. However, I’m going to keep backing over 2.5 in Botafogo fixtures and take my chances. (24 goals in their last five games).
Recommendation: Over 2.5 goals.

Santos v Coritiba:
In the Copa Libertadores and Copa do Brazil respectively, Santos (eliminated) and Coritiba (progressed to the final) both played midweek games: With three draws and two defeats in their opening five league games, Santos need to start winning quick. Cup finalists Coritiba should be ideal opponents in this scenario.
Recommendation: Santos to win
