A few words on tonight’s Clasico:

23 Aug

-Real have the mental advantage after finally defeating Barca in 90 minutes when they last met (at Camp Nou)

-However, Barca looked jaded in the last Clasico and were without Villa.

-Villa is now back though not yet at 100%  He is, as they say, like having a new £25 million pound signing and and came off the bench to score at the weekend.

– Tito will want to win his first Clasico and while Barca looked good last weekend (albeit against vastly inferior opposition), Real were lethargic and couldn’t defeat Valencia in the Bernabeu.

-The last point could be of little consequence in the first part of a two legged tie, but it’s worth taking on board!

-Real Madrid’s central defender (or DM as he’s been used in these clashes before)Pepe will miss tonight’s game- Booking points/red card bets will therefore be affected!

Conclusion: I’m tempted to back Real + 0.5 on the Asian handicap at 2.2 but am put off by their poor performance at the weekend , along with Tito’s need to win. Over 2.5 and BTTS are too short for me to back this time, so I’m going to look for 5/6 or better on a goal related market in-play.

Good luck and I hope this has been of help to you : )
