Athletic Bilbao v Granada

Be warned that Granada emerged victorious in this clash last season, but with several key players missing today- including penalty maestro and top scorer Siqueira, Mikel Rico and Gabriel Torje – I fully expect a home win at San Mames this time.

I also like Athletic to score twice at 1.91, but with Aduriz off the boil it seems better to go with the straight win as first choice. Fair price, though.

Recommendation: Athletic (1.8)

Worth a punt: Athletic team goals over 1.5 (1.91)

Real Betis v Getafe

Although Pepe Mel’s boys were defeated 3-0 away to Valencia last time out, the score line wasn’t a fair refection of the game. Indeed, Betis had chances to equalise – even with ten men – and two of the three goals came in the dying embers of this contest.

Betis will, of course, look to rebound on home soil today, but Getafe – who sit just one place beneath Betis in the 2012/13 Liga BBVA standings – are a decent side that has a history of scoring again Betis in Seville.

Although Getafe couldn’t score in their 0-0 draw away to Levante last weekend, both teams to score was a winning bet in five out of the last six Getafe away games prior to the trip to Levante.

Therefore, if we assume that Betis will score on home soil, both teams to score looks like the best bet here.

Recommendation: Both teams to score (1.91)
