About JC

My name is Jonathan Cordingley, I’m English and enjoy domestic football, but from a young age have always been more interested in world football, particularly Spanish. I’m also very keen on boxing and F1 betting.

Since leaving university in 2001, I created, wrote, produced and starred in the Sheffield based community radio show ‘Talking Balls!”. While working on this radio show, I interviewed a plethora of local athletes, along with some – such as ex footballer John Barnes – nationally famous sportspeople.

As press (of some description!) I have attended many sporting events, mostly within Yorkshire, and regularly interviewed the managers of local football clubs Sheffield and Wednesday and United.

From 2009-11 I worked for William Hill and wrote Spanish La Liga betting previews for the company. For the 2011/12 season I continued my betting previews with the American based Spanish football site Forza Futbol.

From 2013 – 2014 I returned to William Hill to work as a Sports Content Editor/Sports Writer, also featuring on their in-play radio station on multiple occasions.

Keen to make more of a mark in the betting world, I later accepted a lucrative offer to write for Grosvenor Casinos, left William Hill and resumed my freelance career.

Other freelance projects did not, however, pay anywhere near as much money as the Grosvenor gig and I had to take on a security role in Gibraltar (which allowed me to write on the job) to earn a satisfactory income.

Somewhat burned out a year later, I concluded that it was better to accept a Real-Time-Marketing role with BetVictor, which partly involved creating in-play betting markets to tout.

Despite being given awards for my efforts at BetVictor, my role was eventually made redundant and the department disbanded.

So, here I am once gain, but with more of a focus on my own website and YouTube channel than writing for others. Of course, should you be interested in advertising on my site, contacting me with regards to a job or paying me to write on your website, I can be contacted at jonathan.cordingley@hotmail.com.

With this website, I intend to offer betting tips and advice on my specialist subjects of Spanish football, boxing and F1.

Anyway, thanks for reading my perhaps overly honest ramblings and don’t forget to follow me on Twitter @JCLaLiga

Quick question: Are the odds you post always from William Hill?

Not now, as I just use the best market price available at the time.
